Client Tax Operations Utility

The Client Tax Operations Utility serves clients and business partners across the Corporate Investment Bank (CIB), Commercial Bank (CB) and Community Consumer Bank (CCB). Within the Utility, the Transformations, Programs and Governance Team leads tax programs ranging from Technology Transformations to Regulatory Programs and Continuous Improvement Projects, as well as migrations into and within the utility. In addition, the team is accountable for Tax Governance and Oversight, Relationship Management and Regulatory Change Management.

T he Role:

The Transformations, Programs and Governance Team is looking for an experienced project manager and/ or business analyst to be responsible for multi-delivery engagements focused on transforming and strengthening the operational processes and controls across Client Tax Operations. The book of work consists of key deliverables including both operational process changes and strategic technology builds. These engagements will require attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, delivery focus, partnership and at times will be time sensitive in nature.

Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Managing project lifecycles, governance, communication, delivery and post-delivery study of effectiveness
  • Applying best in class practices for business analysis and requirements capture by effectively identifying, assessing, documenting and communicating business requirements for in-scope deliverable to technology
  • Assisting in the definition of future operating models, as well as, control and governance frameworks
  • Assisting in translating business requirements into test plans, overseeing development and testing of those changes
  • Delivering innovative solutions that improve client experience and reduce costs to the firm
  • Applying a broader mindset to deliver efficiently and consistently across teams and the wider organization
  • Acting as the bridge between Tax Operations, Technology and Product Development (amongst others)
  • Providing direction across multiple teams and lines of business for resources involved in program delivery
  • Developing and maintaining long-lasting collaborative relationships with stakeholders
  • Organizing and managing communications with stakeholders and senior managers
  • Applying effective risk mitigation and issue escalation management
  • Gaining familiarity with key tax regulatory requirements and their impact on global teams across the firm
  • Providing input into the annual demand management plan ensuring relevant budget requests are incorporated
  • Submitting comprehensive status updates reflecting health of project and alignment to TPG and individual goals
  • Managing required book of work and multiple tasks simultaneously in a collaborative atmosphere
